Description: This is my recently acquired S&W Double Action .44, made Circa 1882-3. This is one of the first commercial examples of S&W's Double Action Trigger work. This revolver was originally Nickle-plated as you can see on the cylinder. The grips (or stocks) are worn wooden grips with the correct screw hole. The revolver opens via a "Top-Break" in the latch.
