Photo From: Mark Freburg - Album: Handguns--Modern

Description: Having owned one of these for a good while now I've come to appreciate very much.  It is totally reliable and shoots well, but it's also comfortable and looks good.  It's devoid of any extraneous features that tend to ruin the looks and feel of many 1911s today.  It has attractive and fairly unique functional appearance items such as vertical rear cocking serrations and a true USGI safety lock with small and unobtrusive thumb shelf.  The only other new 1911 I've been able to purchase with this safety lock is my hard chrome Iver Johnson (see photos this gallery).  The Remington is basic but has tall and easy to see sights plus an excellent trigger, and no sharp edges--the three things Jeff Cooper demanded of a 1911.  The Remington is as clean and well-machined inside as it is outside--mine is the best made 1911s of the sixteen I own.    Uploaded: 10/4/2019 by Mark Freburg
