Description: An RAF Regiment patrol in an armed Land Rover, Khandahar airfield, Afghanistan 2010. The RAF Reg't is a highly trained ground force with a specific defence role. They are held in esteem even by the army.
Not sure if the name still exists, but we referred to them as "Rock Apes". Not to their faces, mind you, they took their job very seriously.
