M1A Bush Rifle

Photo From: Mark Freburg - Album: Rifles--Modern Tactical

Description: Springfield M1A Bush Rifle circa very late 1990s.  Identical to the standard M1A except the barrel is shortened from 22" to 18" and it wears a modified USGI fiberglass stock which is crinkle-painted in black and fitted with a 1" hard rubber butt pad.  My tools and a selection of ammunition is shown with the rifle.

It currently wears a forward-mounted EOTECH 512 on a Springfiled factor scout mount that is current issue on the M1A SOCOM, but mine of course came without it as it was made before the SOCOM was around, about 1999 if I recall what Springfield told me at the time. It's really a beautiful rifle, even with the black stock, and one of the last rifles I'd ever part part with.
