Description: One of my favorite M1911s, one I've shot more than any M1911 except for my oldest Colt, is this 20+ year old Springfield Armory M1911A1 in stainless steel. Very plain, built in the "pre-loaded" days so it came with no modern features. To that end I've only added Novak sights, installed by Mac Scott in California, and a drop-in Wilson spade-style grip safety, sadly no longer made. The stocks are off a new Range Officer (thanks again, Darryl!). Otherwise, box-stock!

Except for a different set of Timbersmith "Shield" walnut stocks, this 1911-A1 still looks the same. Shot it last a few weeks ago when I shot up my Winchester PDX-1 230gr carry ammo and replaced it with fresh. This pistol is now about 28 years old and is still beautiful, shoots awesome, and is my constant companion.
