BUSHNELL PERFORMANCE OPTICS ACQUIRES TASCO'S INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Overland Park, KS - Bushnell® Performance Optics, the worldwide leader in sports optics, announced today that Bushnell has purchased the Tasco trade name and all intellectual property of Tasco Worldwide, Inc. This acquisition provides Bushnell with the worldwide selling and marketing rights of Tasco and Tasco products. Bushnell is a privately held company funded by Wind Point Partners, a private equity investment firm.

"The Tasco brand has strong distribution and consumer recognition throughout the world," said Joe Messner, Bushnell president. "Tasco's strong identity in Europe, Australia and Canada gives us the opportunity to further strengthen our international presence. We look forward to building a long term partnership with the existing Tasco distributors in each of these markets." Bushnell currently offers a diverse range of optical products and will immediately begin manufacturing and marketing binoculars, riflescopes, and other optical products under the Tasco brand.

"This acquisition is a great complement to the existing Bushnell products and allows us to expand our optics portfolio to further meet the needs of our consumers and retailers." said Messner.

Previous Tasco ownership has made arrangements for consumer product repairs to be handled through ABO (USA), Inc. For questions or further information about Tasco product repairs, please contact ABO (USA), Inc. at 305-860-4858.
