New Speer Products for 2004
41 Magnum Gold Dot® Hunting Ammunition
For 2004, Speer adds the 41 Magnum to its popular Gold Dot Hunting line of handgun ammunition. A new Gold Dot bullet was designed from the ground up for this cartridge.
Gold Dot 41 Magnum ammunition is loaded with a 210 grain Gold Dot hollow point that is tuned to 41 Magnum velocities. The new load produces 1280 ft/sec from a 4-inch vented test barrel and approximately 1350 ft/sec from a 6-inch revolver barrel. That’s close to 850 ft-lbs muzzle energy!
Gold Dot 41 Magnum ammunition is suitable for game up to large deer.

45 Glock Automatic Pistol (45 G.A.P.) Ammunition
In a joint development project, SPEER® and Glock have achieved a new level of performance for compact, semi-auto pistols. The 45 G.A.P. cartridge length is scaled to permit its use in sub-compact pistols that would normally be chambered for the 9mm Luger cartridge, yet provides performance equivalent to popular defense loads for the 45 Auto cartridge.

38 Special +P Gold Dot® Ammunition
For 2004, Speer® introduces a new +P loading with a heavier bullet for better performance. The new load carries a newly-designed 135 grain Gold Dot hollow point built for 38 Special velocities. It features a broad, deep cavity and has true bonded-core construction, patented* two-step cavity formation that establishes expansion parameters for both core and jacket, which has made Gold Dot the fastest-growing handgun bullet for “missioncritical” work.
