No argument from me. I guess there is no formal name for the P38-style action (like "Browning-style"). I still believe the linear ("in line") action in the P38 approach aids in accuracy.YMMV. Harvey

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'd prefer  a locking block. there is no wedge friction to it. it is either locked or unlocked
