For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Fascinating, Darryl! I find it interesting that this piece of common sense still came out of an obviously anti-gun mouth: “Well, I would love it if they could take all the guns away. Unfortunately, you can’t do that so you hope that good people in the world have them to protect the people who can’t protect themselves,” I doubt that we here wish that all the guns in the world would disappear, we have too much fun with them and recognize the utter futility of such an idea, but the idea that good people use them to protect those who can't protect themselves rings very true to me! On another note, your detailed description of the Mark 12 rifle was interesting but I wonder if it didn't deserve its own thread and title, maybe with a mention in this note that the details would be found there. I'm just thinking that folks interested in that rifle and just browsing the site wouldn't think to look for all that good info in a message titled "Mark Wahlberg". Stu |
