I wasn't aware of that franchise here, TJ, but on checking I find there's one just minutes away! ![]() Other than the seasonings, that sounds like how the Colonel cooked his chicken. When the grandkids are in over the holidays, I think we'll order some in for a group test - you better be right! We do have some El Pollo Loco outlets here, but they are flame-broiled rather than fried. Pretty good stuff, too. Thanks for the heads-up. Stu |

Makes me think of those parodies where they have live goats and chickens onboard and are lighting cooking fires in the aisles! ![]() Not sure if you have this chicken franchise around you in NV, but here there is a large Hispanic population from Mexico, El Salvador, and Guatemala. A local "Friendlys" ice cream parlor closed down years ago and a Hispanic chain of fried chicken restaurtans (Pollo Campero) opened there in its place. They had lines out the door for weeks. It's fried chicken made with a pressure cooker and it smells AMAZING. |
