First I've heard of this. Makes me think of those parodies where they have live goats and chickens onboard and are lighting cooking fires in the aisles!

Not sure if you have this chicken franchise around you in NV, but here there is a large Hispanic population from Mexico, El Salvador, and Guatemala. A local "Friendlys" ice cream parlor closed down years ago and a Hispanic chain of fried chicken restaurtans (Pollo Campero) opened there in its place. They had lines out the door for weeks. It's fried chicken made with a pressure cooker and it smells AMAZING. 
So, one day I finally decided to give it a whirl and was the only white guy standing in line for 20 minutes. I order a chicken breast and fried Yucca (if you aren't familiar with it, it's another root type veggie like a potato, but starchier, really tasty). 
I also ordered in Spanish, which took them by surprise. 
The chicken was AMAZING and I'll stop by every once in a while to say hello and get some of that chicken. 
I found a Hispanic newspaper from Guatemala, or Mexico, I don't remember which, and tried out my college spanish (turns out I still remember a good bit of it) and read how the airline TACA which flies out of Dulles airport was limiting the amount of this Pollo Campero chicken that could be brought onto the airplanes as once the planes landed, the smell of fried chicken would linger and often bring complaints from new passengers. 

I just found it a good read and a testament to the power of the fried chicken. Having traveled in native fashion in Guatemala on those old retired former TX 70s school buses, you get used to all sorts of sights and smells. I wouldn't say unpleasant, but rather different. People carried livestock with them and it's just how they got around. was definitely an eye opener for sure for a 20 something college student.
