I should do the same--but I haven't. What are you trying to get out of the 5903? | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It's a strange feeling, one that you get when you think you're doing something wrong, but when you do the math... it's actually doing something right. I'm Downsizing. Downsizing my guns in part because I don't shoot them enough, I don't have kids to pass them onto, and it's becoming increasingly obvious the people I would pass them onto probably aren't the right people to get them. That and I'm tripping over guns in my office / gun room at home and I'm literally out of room. These are firearms I don't have much sentimental attachment to, aren't a significant collectible of interest to me, or I have simply shot 1-2 times. One such rifle is the Destroyer Carbine. It was neat and I found a reliable source of ammo for it, but I haven't shot it since I bought it... 4 years ago. So, up on the auction block on Gunbroker it goes. I also haven't seen many on Gunbroker, so maybe this will be an item of interest. I bought it because it is a bolt action Pistol Caliber Carbine in the truest sense of the word. It's light, handy, and chambered in an esoteric cartridge that doesn't do anything that the 9X19 already does. It's a bit of an oddball, but I haven't shot it. Again, I haven't shot them in a while. I am keeping the 3913 and 3953 though as those have enough sentimentality to stay. Image Info: Smith and Wesson 5903 3rd Generation pistol. Takes 15 round magazines. ![]() I took my Mini-Mosin KSA into my local shop to place on consignment and it sold the same day. Same premise, I bought it because I thought it would be a good learner rifle for my nephew and it looked cool. My nephew is now taller and larger than me. He couldn't even shoulder the gun without looking ridiculous. While a neat little gun... it was time to let someone else discover it for their kid. ![]() I also put up the HK .380 Prototype that I made up off of a .380 ACP Hi-Point. ![]() I also dropped off a tactical home defense 870 that I'd shot 4 times and that counts two shotgun classes where the gun didn't do as well as my bone-stock 870 Express. My 1897 Winchester Take Down was also put put up. The 2 Savage 1907s that I had, I have put up for sale as well with their 6 magazines. I'd shot them twice. Once each. There are others. I don't regret doing this. This just means I get to focus a bit more on Nagants, 610s, and whatever tends to draw my interest. |
