Thanks for the information, Allan.I think I was misled by reading this: An alloyed receiver and 18-inch (M1-22) or 19-inch (M1-9) steel barrel pair with a steel bolt for durability and quality. Weighing in at 5.5 lbs, this semi-auto design carries the heritage of the original M1 Carbine with every trigger pull. After looking at the Chiappa site and reading the product specs, you are absolutely correct -- this is an expensive toy. Harvey |
