Because of the way they are blaming everything but their product,
And you think that's a dishonest defense? changing documentation to state not to carry with a round in the chamber, THE MOST EFFECTIVE SAFETY IS TO My best guess is that this was added following a recent court decision, and I'll defer to another source that said: This would appear to be a lawyer's response to the recent case where the jury found the plaintiff to have been negligent but also held Sig liable because the pistol did not have a manual safety. I believe that case is under appeal but this phrase is obviously intended to release Sig of further liability for guns without a manual safety. That phrase appears in Sig's User Manual in the section referring to manual safeties. They also added a manual safety warning to their DA/SA (P2XX) model manual months ago. their lack of an Engineering fix. I suspect they have had and still have a major engineering team looking into this. They did do a parts upgrade some time back. Have any of the more recent ADs happened with pistols that have had the parts upgrade installed? One of Sig's problems is that it is constantly playing "catch up" during the multiple lawsuits. If there truly is a design flaw in the P320 series, I'm convinced it will finally be found with or without Sig's testing and it will be remedied. In the meantime, there is a lot of over reaction going on IMO. Harvey
