It's an interesting shotgun, but not something I'm probably going to keep. I have 3 pump action shotguns at home, including a Remington 870 with an extended magazine for a total of 8+1 rounds. What I like about the Maverick is that it's shorter and easier to manuever. Also, the rail attached to the bottom of the 2nd barrel is handy for things like lights and other shiny stuff. Still, it's going to be sold.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Interesting gun, TJ! That said... There is a reason the derringer hasn't become our primary defense handgun - capacity! "Tactical" or defensive shotguns evolved as high-capacity, short barreled weapons for a reason. I love over/under shotguns but not as defensive weapons unless nothing else is available. There are parts of the world where ownership of a shotgun with more than two round capacity is illegal. I can see your Maverick as useful there but not here - not yet! In any event, enjoy it! Stu |
