Oh yeah, the threads are concentric. The Suppressor went on without a hitch. Also, to avoid baffle strike, I'm going to get a 9MM suppressor (which I can then use on my other 9MM pistols).
It's definitely a silly thing to do, but considering I'll have a very quiet revolver, I'm looking forward to it. I'll definitely try some accuracy tests once all is said and done. Elmer's a bit of an inspiration for this project. I have to give him his due here. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Fascinating project, TJ! ![]() ![]() It may seem silly to modify an old klunk of a revolver like that but I think it could be fun and it's not like they are rare antiques. Please let us know how the revolver shoots with the suppressor and - if you have the time and inclination - what differences in velocity, group size and point of aim you find. I will say that, with the likely exception of Elmer, you are currently having more fun with guns than anyone else here! Stu |
