Still, I'm on the lookout for some 9MM Largo. If anyone has some laying around, even the corrosive Spanish surplus stuff, I'm willing to bargain.
Try Sarco or Reed's Ammunition. Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: In my seeming quest to have "all the 9MM's" ![]() I've had Spanish Star Pistols chambered in 9MM Largo before, but have always traded them out when I got bored with them. The little carbines though are very intriguing as the bolts are very "Mauser-esque" and from what I have seen, are fairly uncommon on the market today. I think these were used mainly by police and prison guards in Spain. I've run into just a few over the years, and the prices are simply ridiculous. I picked this one up for just under $400 this past week at a local auction. The bolt is a cock-on-close model and resembles that of the Spanish M93 Mauser bolt. The safety doesn't want to budge, and the limited research I've done into this rifle has told me that is a frequent failing. One thing I have found is that 9X23 Bergman (9MM Largo) is pretty much impossible to find at the moment. I'm half tempted to see how 9x21 fits just to see how far it might potentially chamber. There are reports of 9x19 variants out there (rare and most desirable... duh) along with .38 ACP, and .38 Super. Not going to mess around with those chamberings as the Destroyer Carbine is put together... ok. It doesn't seem to have the super quality that something would have made anywhere else in Europe. Still, I'm on the lookout for some 9MM Largo. If anyone has some laying around, even the corrosive Spanish surplus stuff, I'm willing to bargain. This should be a fun little carbine to shoot.
