I didn't see or hear about Wayne LaPierre, and didn't see him on the program.  As several presidential candidates spoke on Friday, he was likely in attendance, but we didn't arrive until Friday evening as Eric had to work Friday.

Oh, another gun I didn't mention to TJ was SIG's new Army rifle.  Frankly, I just picked one up, did a mental "meh," and moved on.  SIG had a lot of real estate but really didn't use it well and their area was boring.  The only thing that I found interesting was when Eric pointed out the all-metal P320.  I picked one up and handled it.  I was surprised in wasn't heavier.  I thought it might really outweigh my plastic M17, but it didn't feel much heavier.   I liked the feel.
