Since it was the first pistol produced by H&K, it certainly has attained collector status. But the H&R package had a novelty aspect to it as well. I bought the set when I returned from living in Japan in 1968, more or less on a lark. IIRC, those sets came in for just a couple of years, and then H&K started selling them apart from H&R.

If you plan to find and buy one of the sets, I suspect it will be for a lot more than I paid originally.

I have seem very few of them over the years, but they are out there. Here's one with H&K packaging.
