You may already know this. Different bullet lubes don’t interact well with each other. When changing ammo, don’t just shoot 1 or 2 groups and think “This new brand sucks in my gun.” Shoot about 10 rounds to season the bore to the new ammo and then shoot a few groups. If your first groups are good...great. But if they aren’t, don’t let that discourage you. Your ammo has to settle in to your rifle. You may already know this, I just mention it because it’s something I learned the hard way. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The Browning T-bolt is a fun gun to shoot but it is but it is very ammo sensitive. I have not had a chance to find an ammo it likes. The Winchester 63 is a good shooter. The rod that extends out of the front of the hand grip used to cycle the slide can be a pain to clear a malfunction. |
