The Browning T-bolt is a fun gun to shoot but it is but it is very ammo sensitive. I have not had a chance to find an ammo it likes.
The Winchester 63 is a good shooter. The rod that extends out of the front of the hand grip used to cycle the slide can be a pain to clear a malfunction. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Looks like I need to try harder to slown down on buying. ![]() Where's the fun in that? Those new rifles all sound neat. I've always been intrigued by the Browning T-bolt rifles but have never fired one. I bet the one you found is accurate with the heavy barrel. I think as much of Winchester .22 rifles as I do Colt 1911 pistols but I've also never fired a Winchester model 63. Unfortunately, my eyes prefer a scope these days for attempted tack-driving and most of the neat old rifles didn't come with receivers grooved for scope mounting and I hate to have them drilled and tapped. Have you shot the new rifles yet? |
