Their focus is on large army’s and government agencies. Small depts and individual owners have had to wait long times for service or parts if they get any service at all. Years ago when I still worked for the BOP, the Missouri highway patrol came to us and asked if we could order some MP5 parts for them. It seems HK refused to fill their order because it wasn’t big enough. We ordered the parts for them. I guess HK figured we were a big enough agency to justify selling us parts. The HP guys were pretty angry about that and who could blame them. I understand that has been changing over the last few years but a lot of individuals and small department guys are still bent out of shape over it. |
