I also agree that there are cheaper guns that perform more than well enough for me and that pretty much describes all the 1911s I have. All of mine are Colts and I doubt that I have more than $1600 invested in any of them including post-purchase gunsmithing. That doesn't include the cost of add-on accessories like lasergrips and red dot sights that I would also put on the more expensive Wilsons.
