I see where Federal is bringing back paper shotshells:
"Federal Ammunition is bringing back the classic feel of upland hunting with the launch of its new Upland Paper shotshells. These shells offer the nostalgic look, feel, and even smell of traditional paper hulls while delivering modern performance for upland and small game hunters." The whole reason we got away from paper shells in the first place was because they swelled in humid climates and were thus unreliable. This really became an issue during the Vietnam War, and plastic shells completely replaced paper shells at that time. Are shotgunners really going to buy paper shotshells in 2025 simply for the "look, feel, and smell?" And frankly, other than us old guys, how many of today's shooters really even remember using paper shells? |
