For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Mark, I tried a Tango Down vertical foregrip on my 16" AR flattop, but found it awkward. Besides being WAY too fat (I don't really need a foregrip that can store 1000 rounds of ammo and 3 weeks' supply of rations), it introduced a whole different way to shoot the rifle. When shooting my AR "conventionally", i.e., holding the front handguard, the rifle is supported by my ripped bicep Of course, the immediate Davies solution was to order another make of grip (Knights Armament) that was smaller and built for normal-sized humans. A bit better, but I still prefer to grip the rifle's front handguard. Mike |
