Thanks for both the info and the advice.  I should probably send the G22 to Glock.  My only hesitation is because of the $70 minimum shipping charge and the risk of theft.  If I did lose the slide and had to buy a new one, what does it cost to get one from Glock?  Or is it even possible?

All your Glocks are 3Gs, right?  As you know my G24 and G22 are 2G.  I don't feel a need for a magwell for grip index, but it seems like a cool feature for a pin gun anyway.
