Savage as you know owns Stevens.  They offer three basic shotgun types--a pump, an OU, and a bolt-action.  No SxS at all.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What happened to the old Stevens side by side?  That was about as cheap as you could get!  If they still make it, it would satisfy your need for a cheap, two-shot defensive shotgun and be easier to reload than an o/u as well. I still come down on the side of more capacity, though. Stu
