I think it's interesting in that it enables one to use an AR-15 for deer hunting in VA. In it's native caliber configuration, the .223 is not considered "humane". Still, the 300 BLK would probably be my choice, or I'd just go with my 6.5 Grendel. I'm interested to see where this goes. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: (Moved to Cartridges and Ammo section for continuity--Mark) It is interesting what will pop up as folks try to make the AR better as a hunting rifle. They say that this round comes pretty close to the old .250-3000 Savage, which was a pretty good deer and varmint combination and also a pretty good chambering for new or recoil sensitive hunters. |
