Was that the one that you were originally turned on to by a fellow military man, possibly a navy guy if I recall correctly, perhaps during your Airdale days?
Yes, I bought it after having shot my ex-Navy friend's Colt, long after my service days. It was an early LW Commander that I bought used, then had it worked on at the Gun Exchange in Stockton. I still regret selling it some years later. Interestingly enough, I never had a P9S but kind of always wanted one, especially a .45ACP. It was the softest shooting .45acp I've ever owned, plus very accurate and reliable. Very reminiscent of the Sauer 38H with a cocker/decocker lever. I bought it from a Marine Captain who was being rotated out of Recruiting and into the Sandbox. I thought I paid too much for it, but because they are uncommon, I bought it anyway. (A good move on my part as it turned out.) Image below from Harvey Goldman - Image Title: H&K P9S Uploaded: undefined Harvey |
