I have seen a couple of the Browning .40 HP Practical models with the nickel slide, but I want an all-blue model. Those indeed seem to be unicorns.
Regarding SIGs, I really enjoyed all my SIGs, from my brand new, made-in-West-Germany P220, to my well-worn externally P226. The P226 I found in a gun shop as a police trade-in that came with something like six mags, so that was a deal I couldn't pass up. I put in a short trigger, and that made it really nice for me. I thought the P239 was about a perfect size carry gun (and Stu would probably agree), especially in this day of smaller guns being the norm... ...just talking about my late SIGs make me kinda wish I had not parted with them. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have been looking at Star PDs, but I won't pay what most sellers want. I look for them on occasion, but the prices are turn offs. I should have bought my friend's years ago when he sold his gun shop. So--probably the Hi-Power and Anaconda are at the top of my list to actually own again. The .40 Hi-Power might be a bit of a Unicorn these days, eh? Have you seen any being offered recently? The Anaconda is available again, but as I asked in another message, why a .44 Magnum now? Note that I didn't mention any SIGs other than the P230 and no Glocks at all? Why I'm shocked! Harvey |
