Regarding SIGs, I really enjoyed all my SIGs, from my brand new, made-in-West-Germany P220, to my well-worn externally P226.  The P226 I found in a gun shop as a police trade-in that came with something like six mags, so that was a deal I couldn't pass up.  I put in a short trigger, and that made it really nice for me.  I thought the P239 was about a perfect size carry gun (and Stu would probably agree), especially in this day of smaller guns being the norm...

...just talking about my late SIGs make me kinda wish I had not parted with them.   In the mid-2000s I used to carry my P220 from fall to Spring, at which time I switched to the P239.  (I used to follow that two guns for the seasons routine for years.  Did it with 1911s for a long time as well.)  Some gratuitous photos:

Image Info: Terrible old scanned image, but it shows my three primary SIG pistols at a time when I was hot on the traditional double action, and believed that SIG, with their frame-mounted decocker and Stavenhagen sights, were the hot ticket in TDA auto pistols. I still believe that all of these, a P220 .45 (L), a P226 9mm (R), and a P239 .40S&W (bottom), are very fine pistols, but I've moved on and so did they.
