*RARE* 1913 EARLY PRODUCTION COLT 1911 GOVERNMENT .45 ACP M1911 SAO US ARMY
Allan, As our premier photographer here, I thought I'd run this one past you. Here is a very early M1911, and the seller is asking a premium price (Opening at $3499, BIN at $3999. No bids, ending within hours of my posting this). My thoughts here are that the photos don't really do the asking price justice. In truth, one can see the external condition is not great, but if I were selling this and trying to entice collectors, I think I would pay more attention to the photography. My biggest gripe is that the lighting is poor. The white background seems to create an overly backlit situation, which makes it quite difficult to see the details on the pistol clearly. In my opinion there needed to be more light on the gun itself. Thoughts? Am I all wet? |
