Thanks for both the info and the advice. I should probably send the G22 to Glock. My only hesitation is because of the $70 minimum shipping charge and the risk of theft. If I did lose the slide and had to buy a new one, what does it cost to get one from Glock? Or is it even possible? All your Glocks are 3Gs, right? As you know my G24 and G22 are 2G. I don't feel a need for a magwell for grip index, but it seems like a cool feature for a pin gun anyway. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I use the Prezine Magwell. While it does work with stock magazines, the floorplate will be flush with the well when locked in place. I only use extended magazine baseplates with mine. I have mentioned this before to you, but for everyone else, I actually started using a Prezine magwell on my Glock 35 because it perfectly indexes my hand on the grip. I get a nice high hold and I can draw quickly without shifting my grip. So the speed of reloads actually is a distant second to the grip. Once I used it on my G35, I got another Prezine for the G24. If your Glock has Glock brand night sights, they are probably pressed in with a staking tool. You ruin the front sight when removing it with small pliers. IAE, I think I would have Glock "update" you G22 and refinish the slide -- you would have a "new" gun cheap! I can install any sights you like. |
