That's the same reason that I haven't pursued any of the several different cartridges'available in uppers for my AR-15. I'd love to play with a 6.5Grendel, the 300Blackout, and458 Socom, but once the novelty wore off, I'd be back with the 223. Never had a lever action rifle before, so, I volunteered to put my buddy, Tom's Williams sight on his M-94 and sight it in. Sighted in, and 20 shots later, I was over it HGW |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'm sure that you are correct that many are purchasing either complete rifles or complete uppers rather than swapping out barrels. At present I really don't have an AR that I'm willing to swap the barrel on so if I wanted to try out one of these chamberings I'd probably either buy a complete upper or have one of the many semi-custom builders (many of whom show up at gun shows) assemble a complete upper to my specifications.
