The Argentine FM Hi-Powers are good pistols.  I don't carry my Hi-power, but if I did I would likely carry the Federal 124gr HST JHP. The one 9mm I actually carry occasionally is my tiny Taurus revolver, and I carry the Hornady 115gr JHP FTX Critical Defense which uses the Flex-tip bullet. It's a JHP with a polymer insert in the nose of the bullet:

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A really nice looking Hi Power, my current Hi Power is a FM from Argentina made under license and on FN equipment, Parkerized instead of blue, not as nice looking (I'm no prize myself) but it goes BANG every time I pull the trigger and that, to my way of thinking, is what counts. I also use 147 grain ball ammo, how about you? |
