| You didn’t ask me but I’ll offer an opinion anyway. There are so many out there I don’t think it will have any collector value in our lifetimes. Yours has a thumb safety so I would feel comfortable shooting and carrying it. I’ve carried mine. My negative feelings have nothing to do with safety, I just don’t shoot it that well. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Since you and I seem to be on the same page regarding the SIG, let me ask you for your advice. If you were me would you ever shoot the M17? How about carrying it? (Granting those are two different things.) The M17 does have a safety, which I would always use, and I would always diligently practice safe gun handling. |
