I don't really care for the feel of parkerizing, so I think that's out of the running. The other two sites you mention are being investigated. See, I am not decided yet simply because I have some time to play around with this 1911. TJ |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nickel comes in two extremely different varieties, electro-nickel and electroless nickel. I wouldn't even consider electro-nickel, and I don't know who may be doing electroless. If you want durable above all, hard chrome is the way to go. black chrome is something entirely different and not nearly as durable. I'd consider Accurate Plating & Weaponry for hard chrome. If money is no obect you might consider Np3 from Robar, which is self-lubricating, but is also silver in color. How about Parkerizing? |
