I had a "Pre-Model B" CZ-75 with the similiar European proof marks. I sold it off like an idiot, but the paperwork that came with it had the PX purchase papers and receipt. I don't remember the date, but that seemed to be one of the few ways the CZ-75 could actually make it into the US. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I tend to think that it is true, because Eric's oldest CZ 75 has no import marks on it anywhere, just European proof marks. The guys at the store said they believed the seller who traded it in did in fact pick it up at an American PX in Germany a few decades back. I don't know how to verify it, but it seems a reasonable explanation. |
