I had an SP101 in 9MM as well. It was nothing that special, although IIRC it had the best "moon clips" of Smith and Wesson and Taurus.
IMHO, the 9MM LCR was a better gun. It was the only one I had that worked consistently with 9MM extraction.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where:
I had an SP101 in 9mm but swapped it for the smaller Taurus I still have. Before the SP101, I had an even larger Speed-six 9mm. Now have just the .357 version.
