I have heard that the Remington was more accurate because of their lock-up?
Both rifles lock up with twin locking lugs inside the receiver ring, so no difference there. Accuracy is based more on how true the lock-up may be--and this is not the distinct province of either company. Also, the true fit of the bolt fact to barrel is also important. Then you have barrel quality. A poorly fitting barreled action to the stock can also do the same can rob accuracy allowing movement during shooting, Then there are factors that affect human interface like the trigger. If the trigger is gritty, or overly heavy, this negatively affects accuracy. |
