I tend to think that unless you can shoot at Perry--and that is organized shooting, or someplace like CMP's Talledaga, dittos on organized shooting, the eastern part of the country is difficult for personal long range, as you suggest. One would more likely need to live in the west. Say this place that Allan moved away from for the joys of Washington state.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: That would be a nice thing to have. I'd have been a lot more interested years ago when I was shooting long distances. Unfortunately, I don't know where there are any 600 to 1,000 yard ranges around here these days. When the last public one closed here, I sold my National Match M1 and that ended my interest in distance shooting. Harvey |
