I think it's a good idea. Surplus eventually dries up and I've often wondered how much longer the CMP can keep up providing surplus rifles. Based on availability, I'd say not much longer. Also, the new rifles, while expensive are in the same neighborhood as top tier M1A rifles. I'm tempted to get one chambered in .308. Thanks, TJ. Interesting response. Harvey |
