I've seen that image a number of times--I forget where it first appeared. I recall thinking it was surely taken on a practice range, but remember thinking the caption didn't make that clear. It certainly wasn't taken in combat!
The caption that I've seen indicated that it was in Vietnam. Most likely in a training area, and possibly at the Sniper Course. Harvey |
